Pressure Sensitive Laminate Information
We offer a wide variety of laminates. Laminates offer
extra protection from damage. Most laminates also offer protection from UV light
to extend the useful life of the print or graphic
|
Pressure Sensitive Laminates Available |
| Lustre |
Lustre is the most common laminate we
apply. It has a slightly matte finish to reduce reflections while allowing
colors to remain bright. Lustre laminate is 3.2mil thick. |
| Gloss |
Gloss finish is a shiny almost glass like
finish. This highly reflective surface will not dull any of the colors of
the image. The gloss laminate is 3.2mil thick. |
| Poly-Velvet |
Poly-Velvet is a hard durable
polycarbonate material. It has a slightly textured finish that is almost
like a lustre finish. The polycarbonate material is very scratch
resistant. Poly-Velvet is commonly used on graphics that roll up for
displays. It is available in 5mil, 10mil and 15mil thickness. |
| Poly back |
Poly back is used on the back of graphics
that will be rolled up. It adds extra rigidity to help prevent damage from
kinks and helps keep the graphic flat. Poly back is available in 4mil
& 14mil thickness. |
| Vinyl back |
Vinyl back is used on the back of graphics
that will be rolled up. It adds extra rigidity to help prevent damage from
kinks and helps keep the graphic flat. Vinyl back is available in 10mil
thickness. |
Thermal Laminates
Thermal laminate is applied hot. It is more
economical than cold laminates. Thermal is not recommended for inkjet prints or
plastic materials that are affected by heat. Thermal laminate is normally used
to encapsulate the graphic, or seal the graphic on both sides.
